Div 3 has lost a Team!

It is with regret that the League announces that the Rising Sun 'C' has withdrawn from the League.

I have updated all pages on this site to reflect this -- including the expunging of all scores for matches already played!.

I know Barry is very disappointed at having to withdraw his team but lack of support made it look inevitable. I hope all members of the team who want to continue playing will find other Clubs in the district who will welcome them.


A plea from Dave B, Divisional organiser for Divs 1 & 2
With the exception of my annual holiday, I usually get results online within a few hours of receiving them. Like wise, most Divisional Organisers usually let me know results promptly after they receive them from the winning skippers -- Dave Blakey is one such.

But Dave B is getting frustrated. At the end of todays report he added:
"The 3 days are up on some fixtures and no results or cancellation request has been forth coming. Perhaps it would be a good idea to remind members of the rules!"

So let's just do that. Match Rule 5.3 states that:
The winning team is to send the completed Match Report Form to their Divisional Organiser within three days of the fixture date. If the Divisional Organiser does nor receive the Match Report Form within 7 days of the match date, the winning teams shall forfeit one Match Point. If the match result form is retained by the losing team and not sent in within three days, they shall forfeit one match point.
So be careful!
Players should keep chasing the Team member responsible, to ensure their hard won results get posted on time!
