New Three Shires Website

Click to reach your new Website: www.threeshirespetanqueleague.com At last someone has looked at my D.o.B (23 Sep 1924) and realized that the day when my website stops being updated must be approaching! OK hopefully not fast -- but the Leagues must start looking ahead. Luckily the Three Shires has found a hero, Rob Mundy, to take on the job. Rob starts at a very different phase in IT development from that existing when I started. Almost all early users visited the site using "Dial up". (Do you remember?) This caused me to design pages which would load quickly. Any graphics on the front page were out! The one advantage I did have was that available software forced me to write the odd algorithm. One of these generated fixture lists guaranteeing "Buddy Team" play. This is hardly necessary in these days of multiple pistes on large terrains but is/was very necessary to encourage embryo Clubs at small Pubs. Over the years you have supported me well -- for which heart felt thanks. Now let's do the same for Rob. He may/will have the odd problem before all runs smoothly, but give him the help you gave me and he'll soon start sleeping soundly again at nights!!!
